On August 22nd I purchaed a 2000 mercedes SL500 roadster.
On August18th I test drove the car the check engine light came on when I returned to the dealer I pointed this out to them.
At that time the manager Mr. Hasiz was there, he atated that he would have a the car checked out to see why that was happening, he stated whatever they found would be repaired by the time I come to pick up the car.
I called car quest several time to make sure that all repairs to the car were made.
On agust 22nd I went to pick up the car I was then reassured that the car was fine, I test drove the car to make confirm that it was fine has Mr. Hasiz has staed, while driving th car the check engine light came on again
I took the car back to Car Quest and enquired as to why the light was still coming on Mr. Hasiz stated the it was a sensor that would cost approximatley $10 to repaired I then asked why it was not done.
He said that he would give me a warranty to have it repaired so I went I ahead and purchased the based on that. However I took the car to a Mechanic who the stated that this the check engine problem was going to coat 360.00 doolar not $10 as Mr. Hasiz had stated. I
I contacted Car quest with this information they said to contact the company who they had purchased the warranty from.
I did contact theis company who stated they were not going to cover the repair because it was an existing problem.
I again contacted car Quest to speak to Mr. Hasiz who had suddenly become unavailable the several time I tried to speak to him, I finally did get an answer from Car Quest who stated that they were not going to pay for the repair and also added the I purchased the car as is.
Mr. Hasiz not forth coming with the information regards to the car at the time of purchase I think he knew all along that the repairs were going to be costly and the warranty he gave me was not going to cover it.
