Late Charges and Credit reporting Ripoff

Ford Credit/PRIMUS changed it's policy for collecting payments over the phone between Sept- November. Prior to this change if a payment was made through it's phone system prior to 5 pm eastern it was credited to the account that very same day.

With this change in the system any payments made before 5 pm eastern the payments would post the next business day. Ford Credit/PRIMUS did nothing to inform us consumers of this change. This change has resulted in accounts being assessed late charges and deliquencies being reported to the credit bureaus. Ford Credit staff refuse to remove these late charges and deliquencies from an account.

If you made payments to Ford Credit/PRIMUS over the phone and made payments close to 30 days past due or payments close to the late charge date, you may have been reported to the credit bureaus or assessed a late charge without your knowledge.
