Here is what happened. I was woken up at 4am by seeing my car being towed right in from of my house. Next morning I found where my car was and I had to get a release from the police department. My car was towed 48 miles away from where I lived, from Santa Rosa to Vallejo.By the time I had time to pickup my car 7 days went by. When I went to pick up my car I paid all the storage and release fees I was able to get my car.
The car was stored behind barbed wire fence at Englebrechts' Tow / After Hours Auto Recovery in Vallejo, CA. When I got in to my car I noticed that there was nothing in the car, NOTHING.in the mean time the owner Wesley Englebrecht quietly walked away. Probably thinking that I might not notice that everything was gone out of the car. I went after him to ask him where all of my thing from the car were. He told me that I took them out when they picked-up my car. I was ready to choke him. At that moment I panicked and called the police while I was getting threatened by the owner that I had to get my car out of his property. He sad I was transposing and I had to leave. I told him that I was not going to leave until police got there.
Police showed up few minutes later. They told me that there is not much they can do and it is a civil suite. I looked at the owner as he had a sign of relive on his face, realizing that there is nothing that I could have done. I filed a police report for all the things that were missing. It is such a nightmare having all the things that I had with me in the car for years gone.
I am insurance broker I drove over 60,000 miles in less that a year and a half on my car. I had everything in that car it was my office, my business and almost my home (I did spend a lot of time in the car). EVERYTHING was stolen out of the car, even bottle of water I had in the trunk and my old dress shoes that were also in the car. I am suing them and I know that I will win this case. Unfortunate thing is they are doing this to other people who do not even try to sue them.
I reported to police two pages completely filled-up with the things that were stolen. There a lot of things that I cannot replace. I had I large file holder box in my trunk with my client's personal information, my personal information, some of my tax papers, insurance application and paperwork. My car was my business and it will take me some time to replace some of those things. I have witnessed documents to prove that there were things in my car. I asked the owner that I was willing to pay him money. I told him that, he will not be able to sell my things for that much money. I told him I just want my things back. All he told me is that he will get back to me.
The whole thing almost doesn't make any sense. I basicaly paid them to steal everything out of my car. And they are still in business, so far. The owner Wesley Englebrecht, before I got a change to see my car, gave me a spare key to my car. They did not even have to break in to my car, they just ordered another key from Toyota. CROOKS!
