My original quote for six months of insurance was $539. After underwriting, this was adjusted to $1302! I understand tickets make it go up, but... 242%? Obviously, esurance brought me in at the lowest possible rate, and then increased it the maximum.

Here is where the situation got ridiculous. I called to cancel my policy; after spending 20 minutes on hold, I was connected to a man who took my information. Throughout the conversation, I kept hearing a very loud "wooshing" noise over the phone.

I finally, very politely, asked what the sound was — I even used the words "I'm trying to say this as friendly as possible" — and as soon I had asked, the man said "That is VERY offensive! I am disconnecting this call! I have asthma!" And he hung up on me.

First, I had no idea. If he had just told me that, I would have apologized, and we could have continued.instead, I had to call back, and start over.

First, much to my frustration, your voice and number recognition system was not working. After 15 minutes of trying to both press and speak the numbers, I gave up, and walked to find a pay phone to use.

So, I got connected... And spent another 15 minutes on hold. Then I started over with a rep who has new at his job. I spent at least a half hour on the phone with him. I demanded my account be cancelled in one week and I asked for a refund (I had already paid over $500 for just ONE MONTH of coverage!)

He told me a check would be sent to me 7 to 10 days after the cancellation. I told him that was unacceptable — that because of the outrageous fees I was being charged be eSurance, I could not afford to buy insurance from another carrier until I got the refund check!

I then asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me she wasn't available. I then asked for her voice mail. He told me that wasn't available either. But he promised to have her call me. That hasn't happened either.

I have never heard of anyone having anything except a horrible experience with this company. Now I know why... And I will do everything I can to spread the word.
