I had my car in for routine service. During that time the front brake pads and rotors were repaired.in total, my bill came close to $1000. When I picked up my car, I noticed a couple of places where the paint had been damaged (chipped/scratched). These were clearly new marks as the paint was still flaking from the damaged spot on the fender. I brought it to the attention of the service manager who said that if his guys had caused the damage they would have told him. So therefore he would not repair the damage. The cost of the damage to a guy off the street would be $500. The actual cost for the dealer to repair would be $200. I just had spend close to $500 in labor costs alone for the car to be "serviced". This is not what I would expect from "ACURA" this is a questionable level of service even for HONDA. I guess we will not be buying that new RL. I will be looking for a Lexus as my next car.
