From the very start I felt that Munroe Motors was only trying to sell motorcycles off their floors as quickly as possible. This is not a problem until you have a part fail on your bike, or their poor bike prep causes damage to your bike as in my case. Although I did not know it at the time, my bike had a leaking brake reservoir when I rode it off their lot.
3 weeks later and a little over 300 mi later I started hearing serious engine noises and had to rent a truck to transport the bike over 50 mi to the shop. It took the shop several weeks to diagnose the problem (after I harrassed them on the phone). It took them nearly three months to finally fixed the problem but that was all they fixed.
They had neglected to fix a broken mounting bracket for one of the body panels (broken in shipping but they had promised to replace it as a sort of apology for the extreme delay) and had not taken care of all the cosmetic damage done by the leaking brake fluid.
Unfortunately for me, I trusted that they had replaced the panel and did not bother removing the panel to check that it was new. Several months passed, therefore, before I found it to be the same damaged panel after I took it into a completely different dealership for a routine service. Talking to them on the phone I realized that they would not take responsibility so I sought a mediation agency through dmv, but was not able to follow through due to a severe work and school schedual.
After another whole semester had passed I gave the shop one more call to see if they would please just replace the panel like they said they would and we could part our seperate ways. They would not budge or give any sign that they would try to work with except to pass the broken panel off as the result of me letting my bike fall on my leg?
I strongly urge all intelligent motorcyclists to not do business with this motorcycle shop!!!
