Ripoff Dis Honest deceptive selling practices

OK here is my long story:

In April I seen a car lot with Jeep Cherokees for sale this is a buy here pay here car lot. I knew the lady who worked in the office and felt ok with doing business with them.

We test drove several Jeeps. Then I seen one that stood out behind the fence, so I asked the owner about it. He said it was in great shape his wife just stopped driving it. So I ask why did she stop driving it and he said she wanted a Grand Jeep Cherokie. Ok so we test drive it and it seems really nice. We tell him we want to purchase it and go in to do paperwork. He waits till I sign the papers and says by the way this is sold as is no warrenty. Ok I can handle that but then there is no title to the vehicle. He said the guy in Georgia had not sent it yet but he would get it to me.

Here is where the problems start. First the rear main seal started leaking and the vehicle was down for almost a week it cost right around 500.00 pluss the oil pan was bent and had to be replaced. I told the owner about it and he said 500.00 was cheep.

From there we replace the following: Heater control, Thermostat and thermostat housing, Distributor, distributor cap, air in take hoses, computer, iginition module. Thats just what I can think of off the top of my head.

I went out and made my monthly payment. Last Wednesday night he sent his little repo man to get the jeep. I told him no because i was not late on payments and he said the owner said take it no matter what. So not knowing my rights they took the vehicle. With no repossession paperwork at all (which the Sheriffs Dept needed a control number).

So I wait for him to send me a letter of what is going to happen (he has to do this by law). I get the letter and it says your vehicle has been repoed because a check you wrote bounced. Ok Why did he not call and say something about the check on my part it was an accident that happened. I would have made it good with him.

So the day I get his letter I had my advisor call him to find out what he wanted. He said the check had bounced, I had not made a payment since September of 05 there was 1,500 left on the contract and he filed for lost title. He also said he did not want me to have the vehicle back because I called the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.

This is where I find a lawyer. We visited with the lawyer yesterday and come to find out most of my rights had been violated. Cant really discuss this in detail as we are waiting a response from the dealer.

Whatever you do dont do business there.
