Purchase via phone Extented warranty for automobile. Pay for one year and cover for 48 months or 100,000 miles. 10/05/01. If not used at end of policy would get money back. Was not told that would not contact when time would be up. Got letter on 11/11/05 about the policy being expired and to call for information.
Called on 11/12/05 when buisness hours and talked with Ryan Siebeert, Warranty Specialist, who tried to sell more warranty. When told not want any more and never used it so wanted the refund promised in 10/05/01. Can not place hands on my copy of the policy # 7513129 and did not remember exactly what day it was started but knew it was sometime in October. Was expecting letter to that affect. Ryan transfer to another extension that he said handles refunds.
Young lady at ext. 108 pulled up policy and said that we had not contacted them within the time limit (that knew nothing about) so therefore were not entitled to refund. I was not aware of this when called on the phone and purchased the policy. Did not read ALL the tiny print at the very first. But if they trick you by not contacting before the time is out but can contact you 10 days later to try and take more of your money.
This is a rip off of the worse kind as it would affect many elderly and health impaired as myself.
