This report is sent after an attempt to fix the situation through phone and mail contact and getting no reply.
I had recently received a flyer in the mail stating I have won one of a multiple of prizes. When I went to claim my prize, at your Battle Creek location, I was shocked and excited to hear I won the $1000 shopping spree as stated in the flyer. After further discussion I was told there would be a small fee to obtain the products through the Internet shopping site spreeme.com.
Unsure about the validity of this certificate I pursued to check out the online store. After searching the site and reviewing the large amount for processing and delivery I began to compare prices with other Internet sites and local stores. I discovered that this shopping spree is a deceptive marketing tool. The shipping and handling charges (listed below) equate to around the same price I would pay at another Internet shopping site or local store.
This scam certificate is also on the consumer complaints. The main company name is World of America aka: spreeme.com, fregiftsamerica.com, myfreegifts.com, keshoppingspree.com and others.
