I recently bought a new 05 toyota sequoia limited from quality toyota, i was trading in my 03 wich i bought at the same dealer two years earlier. I was a little upside down in my old car loan according to sales manager jim pavone so i made up the differance of five thousand dollars and took possesion of my new 05, two days later i went back to sign for some gap insurance and jim pavone told me that my trade in had frame damage and that if i wanted to keep my new car i would need to cough up four thousand more dollars
I told him no that the car had only had the been in a minor fender bender and fixed by their body shop and i would bring the new car in tomorrow and get a refund, later that night jim pavone called my home and left a threatening phone message that if the car was not in his lot by 9 A.M. He would have it repossesed and i would cover the cost. I went down there at 9 he was not there and my five thousand dollar check wasnt there either so i kept the car one more day and brought it back on thursday the salesmanager on duty gave me my check and keys to my old car and upon inspection i found damage to the rear bumper and that some one had smoked in my car
I told him this and he told me and my wife to leave or he will call the police and that the damage was old. You can still see where the paint was peeling of the bumper so i new it wasnt old becouse i had had it washed before the trade in. I would recomend to every one not to do any business with quality toyota of corona ca, or if you see jim pavone at another dealership run or you will be ripped off...
