Ripoff Doesn't stand behind Die Hard Batteries & Doesn't properly test batteries

I LOVE Sears. My fridge, oven, wahser, dryer, A/C, water heater, and microwave is Kenmore. All my tools are Craftsman. So I thought I would go with Sear's Die Hard Auto Battery and I did and it worked for a while...

After a couple months my battery was working until one morning it wouldn't start. So after work (which my wife had to drive me) I took the battery back to Sears. When I got there, I went up a woman who was working there. He said it would take three days to test the battery and they would me a "loaner" battery so I took the loaner battery and went on my way.

After telling some of my co-workers they said that they never heard of a loaner battery or a three day test. After that I went on the internet to learn how retailier's test the battery, and I found about "load-testing" in which the battery is tested under the same conditions as a car or truck. And I went back the next day...

After going back I was met with some heavy aguring. The woman said that the battery held its charge and is good. But knowing the "legit" way I showed her the paerwork thT i RECEIVED FROM the internet and another retailer - Wal-Mart, and NAPA. She said that she never heard of Load-testing. She said that the battery was good and that I should before she gets LP (Loss Prevention) to remove me from the store. Then a tech came over siad he would load-test the battery, I demanded to witness the practice which he allowed. He said the battery was bad and offered to give me a new one free, but the "manager" refused his decision thats when I told her off..."If don't replace this battery free of charge and my two or three days later I get a call from my wife that the cars stuck because the battry's died, I'll be really pi*ed and my lawyer will be called." Then she give me a new battery but then wanted me to pay a $5 charge fee. I walked out the door without paying and wrote the store manager (it was In-Store Auto Center, the HQ, called them, and e-mailed them. I happy to report that the woman has be fired and the really nice tech guy is the new manager.

(PS - If are one of those people who say "you shouldn't go to a department store." I don't want to hear it! Car dealerships overcharge and mechincs for a battery is just stupid.
