I went to Planet Hyundai to look at their new SUV's. I test drove a Santa Fe, the salesman drove past his house. Before I knew it, I drove off the lot with a new Santa Fe..
I kept calling Hyundai about the financing. A week before the temp tag expired, I told them I am bringing the vehicle back because I can't register it without the slip. They told me I needed to sign another application. I refused to resign because I didn't want anything changed. At this point, I was already frustrated and just wanted to give the vehicle back. The sales manager yelled at me, was rude, and called me shady! I jut didn't want to resign any paperwork!
He told me I was going to have to pay late fees at the DMV and they already had the slip I needed. He told me if I re-signed, he could extend the temp plates. I said fine, give me the slip and I will glady pay the late fees at the DMV myself. He hung up on me.
A MONTH after the plates expired I called Hyundai again, I told them I need the slip, the plates expired, and I STILL haven't received a bill. The credit manager said "oh, we have been trying to get ahold of you. You need to bring the truck back" I was so glad to hear this news, after the terrible experience, I no longer wanted this vehicle. They NEVER tried to contact me, they had 4 numbers to contact me at!
So, everything is great and fine. I went to pull my credit report several months later and my score dropped dramatically. The application I signed was for 7% interest. The reason they couldn't finance me was not because of my credit, they couldn't finance me bacause of my debt to income ratio...
Do you know what happens when Planet Hyundai pulls your credit 46 times in a month in a half??? I do, and it isn't good.
Stay away from Planet Hyundai. This company has no integrity. Stay away from any Hyundai since this is the type of chains they allow to sell their product. I would rather take the bus in 106 degree Las Vegas heat then to ever get screwed by Planet Hyundai.
P.S. Just a few weeks ago, a good friend of mine took her Hyundai Accent to Planet Hyundai for an oil change, when she got her vehicle back, the front window was cracked, she went to the counter and asked WHAT HAPPENED? And why she wasn't told about it. The guy working couldnt do anything but the manager could help her the next day. What ended up happening was Planet Hyundai replaced her windshield for her... At a $100 discount, even though it was their fault the windshield somehow broke!!!
