Ive used this garage for hundreds of dollars in auto repairs.

I experienced a new clutch slipping installed by them less than 4000 miles ago. Outside of slightley higher temps (no overheating) this car ran smooth and had excellent gas milage for an auto with 130,000 miles. The car has an impecable service record. And a one owner auto also prior to myself. I took the car in to have the clutch rechercked and when i left the car ran very badley. It seemed to develope a terribe miss at low speed and now it stalles at atart up. I returned to be told it did have a minor vibration and then when i asked about the over heat Jay estes told me the relay and fan motor are burnt out. He said sometimes a clutch will slip if the car overheats. He said the contacts on the relay were discolored due to high amp draw from the burnt fan motor.
I took the car to another ASE certified mechanic in business for ove 30 years. The car has a major compression loss in number 4 cylinder and the cooling fan motor is oK not burnt out at all. The car has never actually overheated on run higher than normal during a traffic jam. Im told new clutches dont slip because the car is running hot unless there is ware or there is a bad pressure plate. I can onmly speculate that during the mechanics road test that this high milage car was subjected to intense rpm iether breakuing a compression ring or having it sieze up in # 4 cylinder. I left a message on thier answering maching and the person diagnosing the burnt oput fan motor called back. He said bring it back well put it on a dianostic device and find the problem. I thought this had been done when i returned to have the vibration checked and the cooling system checked? I dont want the same service or more damage done and have to pay for it also. The car ran perfectly when I arrived for the road test bad when i left. I dont want any more service from this company I would like reimbursement for the dianostics they were supposed to do at a cost to me of $94.50. I also would like an appology for lying about the broken or burnt out fan motor and relay. I want honest fair service and not have to worry about buying a part i dont need.
