On May 25 I brought my car to Tuffy's to have freeon added to my airconditioner. I requested they do what it took to make sure my car had cool air.
Reason for I had a very sick daughter (high risk pregnency) who needed the cool air to be comfortable. I was taking her to an appointment and I told her I had the airconditioner fixed but when her appointment came on June 1 I had no cool air for her and she became very sick.
It was in the afternoon and a cloudy day. I had it set on the highest cooling air but nothing happened. It was all warm air.
So, I took it back. They put a colored fluid in my cooling system to "find" the problem or leak. Why didn't they do that the first time?!!! They used he excuse it was such a small leak! Then why did they find it the second time?
It cost me $110.58...$45. For labor and $44.95 for freeon and $1.80 plus tax and shop fees. This time cost me another $45.12 for freeon and ac fitting of 14.95 and 10.00 labor. $78.08 total. I wasn't charged labor for freeon. But why was I charged for freeon the second time when it wasn't my fault? I was taken advantage of. Tuffy Auto Service is now 188.66 richer. Service rip-off for trusting people... Women especially.
