Ripoff taking advantage of women and disabled, Ripped Off!

I had to replace a deisel pickup with a gas. I was looking for a vehicle that could tow a horse trailer but yet get at least 15-18 MPG.

I was told this pickup would have plenty of Power and would give me a good 15 mpg. So i bought the pickup was only allowed $700 for my trade in. They sold this pickup to me for $6200.00. I kept a good record of how many mpg. This automobile got. I called the dealer and told them that i was only getting 11 mpg. They treated me like i was lieing to them.

One day the dealer i delt with told me that you either get power or mileage but you dont get both. Well i never got either the pickup could hardly pull itself let alone my horse trailer. It had some luxuries and a big quad cab. Which was very nice. But that was not what i was looking for. I told them it never had much power either. The dealer told me that i should have it tuned up and it should get better mileage. So i did this and kept checking the mileage. Still 11 mpg if you go the speed limits. The only way you could get more is drive 52 mph and then it would go up to 13 mpg. (with no horsetrailer hooked up to it this was highway miles). But it was a long time getting anywhere. And the pickup just never had the power it should have either. Finally after getting more in debt every month i had no choice but to look for something else to drive.

So i went back to Empire Auto Brokers where i had bought this pickup thinking they would make me some kind of deal to make thing right to me. Either power or mileage it and i was even willing to trade for a older model but. Not having any money because i am on disability only having $489.00 a month to live on. Could not come up with any more money. My dad already helped me to get ripped off. I went to the bigger store at 1441 Deadwood Ave.

I flat told the dealer (same guy) that i just could not afford to drive this pickup any longer. That i liked every thing about the vehickle except for the power and miles per gallon about it. I just could not afford to drive it any more.

He asked how much MPG i was getting now and i told him the same 11 MPG that is why i could not afford to own it any longer. Pulling a horse trailer i only average 7-8 MPG. And i never did figure what the in town mileage was but i am sure it wasnt very good. Less then 11 MPG anyways. He just said it has to get more then that. I said i have checked it for MPG more times then he could shake a stick and it stays the same or worse. If you go over 52 MPH. He just looked at me like i was lieing. I said if you want to fill it up and take it for a cruise at the speed limit and see for himself go ahead. I seen an older model pickup single cab on the lot i said would you trade me straight across for that older pickup. He said no they never had anything on the lot that i could trade for with out coming up with some money and wouldnt have nothing more to do with me. He would not even tell me what he would allow me for this pickup to trade it back for something else. He just walked off and more less told me he wouldnt deal with me anymore. They did not want the pickup back on there lots.

So did they knowingly sale me a lemon i would say they did because they wouldnt have a thing to do with me to make anything right with me. Or even let me test drive something else to make sure it got better mileage then what i was getting with the pickup i had.

My Father thinks i should take them to court For knowing they never sold me what i was looking for and i was a victim i feel of being riped off to the max. Specially once they knew my father was paying for the vehickle but wasnt there to help me choose what to get or let me know what was or wasnt wrong with the vehickle.

I have been in contact with this dealership several times since i bought the vehicle and every time they treated me like I was lieing about the mileage. Plus i spent money to try and get the mileage they said i should get with this vehickle.

I feel i was taken advantage of and treated very unfairly means they knew i never had any money for them to make more profit off of me.

Now again I find myself pennyless and unable to afford anything and in need of a pickup to take care of my animals and work. But in need of something that can pull a 3,200 lb horse trailer with a couple of 1300 lb horses in it. So that i can afford to go to work. With the gas prices as they are.
