Allstate quoted me one price on the phone, offering a huge discount for a clean driving record, and length of insurance. When I recieved my policy in the mail, after already making payment, the price was much higher.
I was informed that I needed to submitt a few documents before I got the discount. So I did. Yeah, they gave me a 47.00 discount and said I only got that due to credit ratings. I had just received a letter in the mail about a case against Allstate for doing this in the past but did not fall into the dates allowed.
So I went ahead and changed my deductibles from 250 to 500, they told me that I would save 46.00 per month. When I looked at my policy on line I saved only 14.20 a month. I called and was met with excuses. I have had my driving license for 13 years with no incidents and I am being charged 1200 for 6 months being told they dont give discounts for good driving records, but I am sure that their commercials claim that they do.
