I had a Buick LeSabre 2003 I purchased last year, right at the beginning my brakes made some kind of a whistle noise, it was on a Friday when I past by a Midas shop knowing they are a huge franchise and they would do a good job, I saw a big sign "Monthly special $89.00 lifetime pads", I rolled into the garage to have the "experts" a look on my car.
David called me that the total would be $349 tax I was shocked I then asked where did you get 349 from $89? He explained that luckily my front brakes are OK the noise comes from the rear pads which are worn I will also need a calipers adjustment and alignment after all I said he should go ahead with the repair.
The next Tuesday I called Dave that I still hear the noise even worse than before I also feel the brakes are like grinding since I am not the expert I drove back to them, he takes the car inspect it, an hour later he called me that I will need front pads as well and the total will be another $175 I asked him how come you promised me the other day that the front are in perfect condition? He replies to me I don't know what I said but this is the situation now, do you wanna have it done yes or no?
I did not have a choice but to say yes I will admit that he offered me a $20 courtesy discount.
Try to avoid these cheats at all cost it is not worthed the headache.
