This is an email to wilderness ev that has been ignored to date:
Note that the adapter plate sent in the box of random parts is too small so it is not compatible with the transmission (the VW Mk4 transmission was discussed in detail with the company in prior correspondence)

This is the follow up email you requested in our phone conversation on December 5 when I asked for a 'Return Authorization Number'. I was asking for the RA number for the following reasons:
-Parts found to be damaged at initial inspection as unboxed. Such as:
1.)Volt meter lens surface scratched deeply enough to cast a shadow on the meter face.
2.)Motor controller face scratched (used?) (see photo attached).
3.)500amp fuse in used condition.(see photo attached).
The two packages had no List of Contents or invoice (contained inside or attached outside of the packages) but still clearly did not contain a 'kit' for the following reasons:
-Random parts such as the throttle pedal which had a connector with no matching connecting point on or to the controller.
-The schematic (described below) does not show the same part details of the parts included in the package (appears to have not been updated).
-Four page Wilderness EV instruction booklet with no clear explanation of:
1.)the motor controller wiring harness installation
2.)how to charge the accessory battery with the capacitive charger. In section 10.Installing the Chargers, on page 4 of the four page instruction manual, it states:
Wire auxiliary charger (12 VDC) to the accessory battery.
but an accessory battery charger was not included
3.)where and how the resistors and diodes loose in the bag of nuts and bolts are installed.
4.)why 8. Battery Jumpers section on page three does not describe any cable returning to the positive battery terminal but one is instructed to continue the circuit back to the motor again.
-The two schematics included contradict one another. In one it, is stated:
Never put contactor or break on B-
whereas on the other schematic it is shown to have a fuse installed in that part of the circuit between the battery and the motor controller (that fuse is again described as being installed at another location in the four page installation guide).
-Missing set screws for the coupler and no key stock to install between the motor shaft and the coupler. The motor shaft had a yellow plastic protector but no key stock was contained in it.
-Having purchased the Regeneration Upgrade, there is no RS232 to USB cable to program/control this upgrade.
-No insulating/isolating mount for the shunt and/or no explanation how to install this safely without an insulating/isolating mount.
-No fasteners to connect the 'Battery Jumpers' to the motor controller.
Additionally:
-The 'Electric Car Conversion Guide' DVD, that was included in the Wilderness EV package (showing the installation of a competitors kit), explains why the coupler supplied should not be used.
-When the coupler included was shown to the machinist/mechanic contracting some of the aspects of our conversion, he was surprised. We had previously hired him to prepare a clutch plate center to attach to the coupler as shown in images on the Wilderness EV website. Contrary to what had been shown on the Wilderness EV website, a 8+" disk has now been added. He suggested that, as it is only machined on one side, without additional remanufacture to balance it there would likely be an issue with higher motor RPM.
To summarize:
-Random, damaged (see attached photos) and missing parts.
-Unclear, incomplete and contradictory instructions.(you have copies of these)
-Enclosed suggestion of incorrect engineering in video format.(you have a copy of this)
Previous emails detailed aspects including the fact that we were picking up the package in the US and crossing into Canada with it. Wilderness EV responded with an explanation that it would be shipped in one 72lb package. This was then forgotten or ignored. The shipment came in two packages. We waited a week for a response to our email requesting two printable invoices stating the contents of the separate packages. Having received nothing in response, we had to bring the packages back with only a printout of the price from the Wilderness EV website. When we picked up the packages from our mail service (at twice the expense), there were no shipping invoices attached to or contained within the packages. This, after the mailing address on the invoice for payment we received from you was incorrect. It was almost a month before that letter was returned with our payment to us. Another matter of concern is since letting us know that our payment was received, Wilderness EV has not responded to one email from us.
Respond to this email with a Return Authorization Number.
