My experience with budget has not been satisfactory. First, each time that I called the local office, my calls were rerouted to the 800 number. Therefore, when I went to pick up my car, renting with a debit card, I didn't have necessary documents. After the stressful ordeal of providing necessary documents, my car was in the shop and I was dropped off at rental location, the customer service representative told me there was only four vehicles left to rent and two of those were pickup trucks! So instead of getting the compact car I rented, I had to get a mid-side car, and was charged an additional $10!!! It was Budget responsible to have the car that I rented, but Budget didn't have the car that I initially rented and charged me extra!!!..poor customer service!!!

Second, I prepaid for a week, but only used the car one day. When I returned the car, the customer representative gave me a number to call to get my refund credited to my account. Called the number, representative told me that I was not going to get a refund!!! He said that I should have kept the car for the week! I stated, “You have got to be kidding me! ” He said, “No, it's policy.” I hope that you can listen to the tape...unbelievable. It was a nonproductive conversation; I decided to wait until I got home to call again. Talked to another representative, and was told that it showed in the database that I never pick up the car! Had another long dragged out conversation, as I sat staring at my returned receipt. When I said that I had my return receipt, representative said that my account would be credit within the next 3 to 5 business day. It has been nine days; my account has not been credited. The local budget office has credited my account $200 for my deposit.

Budget is practicing unlawful sale feels like the old “bait and switch.” I was told that I could save money by prepaying for a car that was not available, then was told that I would not be reimbursed because I didn't keep the car for intended time, and was offered no compensation for Budget not honoring their contract. The question comes to mind, “If budget will not reimbursed me for my car rental, is the car be renting? ” It sad that businesses are able to take advantage of consumers...your business operates because of consumers.
