After problems with another rental company in mid November I called Budget. The first question I was asked was whether or not I was over 25, and I answered no I am 23. The representative told me that wasn't a problem and there was no additional fee for renting to drivers under 25.
I called by to re-confirm on December 21st for a December 27th reservation and I was told that my rental would not be upheld becuase Florida does not rent to drivers under 25. I made the reservation through an office in Wichita, Kansas. I believe the location is no longer in service.
I tried to resolve the issue over the phone, but they refused to co-operate. Since I have filed with the Better Business Bureau and I am seeking the difference between my current car rental reservation and my reservation I had with Budget. The phone opereraters were not even competent to know that my reservation was considered a contract.
I will never use Budget in my entire life. I suggest anyone reading this never does either. Who knows what else could go wrong.
