I have gone to the same Jiffy Lube and told them to just change the oil. The assistant manager took out my air filter and cabin filter trying to sell them to me, but he did not tell me first. They are still good and not necessarily needed. I asked him why, and he told me it was part of the service. They never did that before. I told him to leave it alone because I was not told about it, so he got an attitude, saying I was being loud with him. I asked first, but the manager did not want me to talk to him. After that he put my car back together and sent me out without service. My car has gone there off and on for years and I never got told to leave. Shawn gave me his boss's and the owner's card and gave me my car back without doing his job.
Jiffy Lube overprices everything. They want $41.99 plus taxes for an oil change, and they overprice air and cabin filters at double the price you can buy them for in a store. They wanted $27.99 for an air filter that I can buy for $13.00, and $19.99 for a cabin filter that I can get for $8.99. And then they think you are going to get it from them. All I wanted was a fast oil change, but Shawn was trying to rip me off by saying I needed things I don't need. Don't go to Jiffy Lube #2100, 2715 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, Arizona. They don't know what they are doing beyond oil changes. I am going to talk to the manager, Dennis Plants, and the owner on Monday about getting their rude assistant manager Shawn fired for trying to rip me off and others. I had stopped going there, but the last 3 times were good. But when you ask for a fast oil change, you get him trying to sell you things you don't need. All I know is in AZ you better watch where you go to get your car serviced; everyone is trying to overprice and sell you things you don't need. Jiffy Lube's inexperienced people should not be working on cars, just oil. Their prices are higher than the dealership on everything. All I know is I'm upset: I wanted an oil change and did not get that done. Thank you very much, Shawn of #2100, for nothing. You are a rude guy and need to be gone from the auto service industry. You don't know how to do the job and talk to people. Stop trying to rip people off or you will be fired like Joe has been.
