Complaint / Review
NMAC Nissan Motor Acceptance
Corporation ripoff, Total Scam, Hurricane Victims, Half A

NMAC sent my husband and I a letter in September stating that, Due to all the recent hurricanes in our area, they were offering us the ability to skip a payment and send the payment to the end of our contract. We filled the form out which would have covered our Oct. Pymt and sent a check for out Nov. Pymt.

The second week into Dec. We get a call from this rude man who proceeds to tell my husband that we a 30 days past due and that he has sent us to the collection agency. You can imagine our dismay. We explained how that could not be possible. He claimed that they never recieved the letter, yet clearly they cashed my check. Imagine that. So after much arguement, he stated he would send us another form and for us to fill it out and they would apply it to our Dec. Pymt and everything would be fine.

We recieved it 2 days after Christmas. We filled it out and sent it back as well as another pymt (Jan.) On the 6th of Jan, I get a call from this woman who represents NMAC stating that we have been sent to the collection agency again. I asked her for what, she stated that because they had not recieved the extension for prior to the 1st of Jan the offer was void. I told her that that was a load of crap because I kept a copy of what they sent and it states that the offer is good for 30 days and I didn't have to have it in until the 16th of Jan. She called me a liar and said it was not so. She also proceeded to tell me how the man my husband spoke to had tried to call us several times after he initially spoke with him to tell us we had to send the extension back overnight.

No one tried to contact us. We have caller ID as well as voicemail. She pretty much told me to deal with it. So I told her I would send an extra payment, which I did yesterday, but that not only would we never purchase a vehicle from this company again, but that we were reporting them to the BBB and we were going to tell everyone we knew how they scammed people. All of a sudden they wanted to talk, she asked me to hold on, I told her that I had held on long enough and told her to have a nice night.
