Dear Sir,
My company (SPG Infotech) purchased ford Figo car 19 months back in India. The VIN number of the car is MAJIXXMRJIBJ83651. We also subscribed to 'Total Maintenance plan' which covers 30K kilometer or 2015 whichever is earlier. The car has so far travelled 24K kilometer.
Now the Battery of the car is not working and that has been confirmed by the workshop of Ganges ford Tiljala and though the battery is still in the Warranty period (24 months from date of purchase) the technician of the workshop is asking us to pay Rs4,000 otherwise they will not install a new battery and they will send the existing battery to Chennai for further investigation of why it is not working and will refund us the money if they say that indeed the battery is not in a working condition. Now we have reservation in paying Rs 4000 and we thought that the warranty and Total maintenance plan covers all these. If not, pl let me know in writing and I will move this case to Consumer Forum and seek their view about the customer service and protection. The car is in your workshop since last Monday (12th August) and we are facing inconvenience for the delay and harassment.
We are not at all happy with the attitude that we are facing and think that this is not help you at all in retaining customer and getting favourable review. I expect a reply at the earliest Regards
Sujay das
