Maybe the USPS would not be $6 billion dollars in debt if it properly tracked and delivered packages then had a reliable and accurate system by which to track their lost and undelivered packages followed by proper and professional customer service. Just a thought.
My husband shipped my engagement ring via certified and insured USPS mail. After 9 days with no updated tracking information and no engagement ring, our tracking information showed the last confirmed location as the postoffice from which it was sent. Poor customer service when I called USPS directly and when asked how 9 days can go by without updated tracking information, I was greeted with uneducated and poorly trained government employees who could only open a case for my lost ring.
Alas, I suppose the marriage is more important then the ring. However, if anyone finds a diamond ring, please put it on and punch your local USPS agent for me. And make sure you leave as lasting a mark as this poorly run (and I hate to use the term company) has made on me.
