I am so glad I found this website! I almost bought a car from Drive Time in January. Fortunately I didn't have the income needed to purchase a vehicle form them. The bad thing is that I was willing to drive off the lot that day, no questions asked, because I was starting a new job in 2 days.
Well nearly 12 months later I decide to research DriveTime thouroughly (after doing customer service for a major car manufacturer you learn a few things). So I came upon this website. Big thanks to all of you who allowed me to learn from your experiences with DriveTime.
I had plans to just look around this weekend but I have something else in mind now. I'm going to print out all these complaints and pretend as if I'm truly interested in buying a car from them. Once they sit me down to "talk business" I'm going to pull out this LONG list of complaints and any legal information I can find. I say it's time they got a dose of their own medicine!
Of course they'll deny everything but I will leave them with this thought as I walk out paying them NOT ONE PENNY:
Customers who have a bad experience will tell AT LEAST 10 other people. Thanks to the internet that number will be multiplied thousands and thousands times over.
