On 9-21 12:42 pm I had my oil changed at wal-mart tire and lube center. After discussing with the tech that I wanted a certain kind of moter oil that I have always used in my truck, and high milage synthetic. He assured me he knew just what I wanted and suggested that I put a engine oil sdditive for added protection. Upon leaving, I noticed smoke coming out of my exhaust. Upon each cranking, the smoke continued to get worse.
I returned to the center only to find out they had put 5w20 oil in my truck. The manager "Big John" apologized and gave me a free oil change of Castrol syntec 10W40 on 9-28 2004 12:31PM. He told me to drive the truck a few miles and it should correct itself. This did not happen, it continued to get worse. I took the truck back, and talked to the new manager "roger", and his remarks were "we gave you a free oil change, what more do you want?" My reply was, "I want my truck to be as it was when I brought it to you, not smoking!" His answer was theres nothing I can do about it.
Your truck has high miles on it and it was bound to happen, and all we will do is give you a free oil change, as we have already done. Other than that there is nothing that can be done, and I will not argue with you about it. I am a single 56 yr old woman and I have no rescourse except to start here. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
