I am writing this complaint to educate people to not waste your time going to this agency. Right now in Oregon we have the worst unemployment rate of any state in the Union. 35% of resumes and applications are never opened or looked at and if you add that to the 18%-24% unemployment rate that they know about then you have a true real rate of close to 50%. Hardly anyone in my building and my friend apartment building are working. They told me I had no work history at all. I went to SS last week and got a printout and those companies were all on there and The Employment Department sent me a printout going back to 2005 and of course thos companies were all there and the wages showing. I worked for 4 call centers that clodsed down and are not doing business in Portland any more and of course I got blamed for this happening. MSI Research in Portland laid 170 of us off and moved to Little Rock and closed down its office here. B and N went out of business here.infotech went out of business here. Sitel went out of business here. MPI went out of business here. Jon did call Opti back and did say that I did work for them and I found other numbers on the Internet where people can call. I use a walker due to a real bad accident I was in in my home in 2006 and was in a car wreck back in 1991 in which my brain and memory is all messed up and have been fighting SS ever since and have been denied 4 times and cannot get it. Working for companies that went out of business and having NO work history are two different things and how OPIT treated me and blamed me and calling me and upseting me over the teleph0ne purposly is horrible. I told the Employment Department the story and they told me that ALL temporary services were bad and that all treat people like dirt and accuse them of things they do not do and to top that off said that they have NO JOBS and they know they have NO WORK. It is not my falt I was in two terrible accidents and feel that all temp services are staffed with people who have been there for years and years and do not know how to deal with people and do not care about people that have mobility problems or are disabled. I kow two woman who couldnot get a job here and are taking their SS early because things are so bad. I have a BS degree in Accounting that I got from 1986 and am not dirt or a piece of garbage. Opti made me feel like I was by accusing me of having no work history. I also have 5 letters of reference from the bank I worked at in Boston and three people I worked for at NSU in Oklahoma that I can show also. They really must want people to be on welfare and to commit crimes. Otherwise things would get better here and no one is doing anything. Robberies are higher than they have ever been here and there seems to be 5-10 of them a week here because of our horrible economy and foreclosures are higher than almost any state too. Also all the animal shelters are overwhemed with animals because people cannot find work. Do not waste your time with OPTI Staffing in Lake Oswego unless you want to be treated bad and accused of not being able to verify work history.
