I have been traveling on both work and pleasure for the last 10 years and have been to 5 continents and over 50 different countries in this time span. I have never been treated with the level of disrespect as I have been at the Arizona Biltmore. I will illustrate with a specific incident to illuminate my point. I was at a wedding reception with dozens of white relatives when I decided to approach the bar. The
Bartender IDed me. I gladly showed my Canadian Drivers license (which is an acceptable form of ID almost everywhere in US including domestic airport DHS staff). The bartender contended that was
An illegal form of ID and rudely refused to serve me. I figured it must be some state law requirement and didnt pursue the matter. A while later, an acquaintance who was by me, walked up to the same bartender and ordered 2 drinks, one for him and one presumably for his wife. The bartender quipped to this acquaintance that he better not get the illegal alien (referring to me) a drink. I walked out of the wedding at that point. Obviously I didnt deserve to be treated in that manner.
Did a little research on the matter and found out that a Canadian Drivers license is an actual valid form of ID in Arizona as per the liquor licensing and law enforcement department of Arizona. See below website

I can understand if the bartenders initial refusal was being simply being misinformed. However hurling baseless charges at me is clearly racist and unacceptable. Patronizing this hotel is akin to encouraging
That kind of behavior. I shall definitely not patronize this or any Waldorf Astoria properties again.
I complained to a manager about this incident and she informed me that she would get in touch with a different manager. The least I expected was a personal apology at checkout, but it seems that the management did'nt even have the lowest level of decency to do that.in my book, if the management does'nt see it fit to offer a personal face to face apology then they are saying that they implicitly agree with the bartender.
