I recently went thru the drive thru at McDonalds located at the Corner of Glendale Ave and Litchfield Rd next to Luke AFB.
I wanted some McNuggets.
A 6 piece McNugget meal was listed as costing $3.70 but I was hungry and wanted a 10 piece instead.
They charged me $5.75 not including tax and $0.50 for a debit transaction. Total was $6.12.
Now I don't know about you but $2.00 for an extra 4 nuggets seems a bit excessive and I told the shift manager who happened to be working the drivin window that.
He said it was actually a good deal. I tried to get him to tell me how much a regular 6 piece vs a regular 10 piece cost but he kept playing games with me telling me it was a good deal.
They don't advertise their 10 piece meals so I can't make a determination how much it costs for the McNuggets alone. But $2.00 added to the original $3.70 price seems a bit high to me. Considering you get fries and a medium coke in the $3.70 pricetag and that would have been over $2.00 to get them by themselves leaving the 6 piece McNuggets to be somewhere under $1.70 if you subtract them from the price.
So why are they charging double price for the extra 4 McNuggets? I would have done better to get two orders of 6 piece McNuggets and a order of fries and a medium coke. I would have gotten more food for the money.
In addition, the nuggets tasted like they were cooked in week old oil, they were really disgusting.in the past I've had repeated problems getting hamburgers cooked to order. How hard is it to not put pickels and onions on a burger when asked? What is the point in having special orders if you can't make the order right the first time? Add in the fact I use the drive thru since I'm usually needing to be at work in 10 minutes or so and I usually dont have time to check the order.
The management there needs some serious training.
