Discriminatory Hiring Practices

I recently applied for a job at Rock and Roll sushi. They were advertising that they were in need of cooks and servers.

I have recently moved here from the midwest where I was a sushi chef for two years. I applied for a cook position, talked to the owner on the phone, and was invited in to talk to the owner about obtaining some cook/sushi position.

After the interview on a Friday, they said they would call me back the next week to let me know the status of the application. 10 days passed.

I finally had to call them to check on the status of my application, and when I was finally able to talk to the owner again, he barely even recalled talking to me, he then remembered me as the "one from Indiana or something".

He refused to hire me citing that I was not full-blood japanese and they would be unable to communicate with me.
