We went to eat at this The Maharaja Palace, which is under new ownership. A Friday night and there were a total of two other parties in the resturant. The food was decent and service was good... Until they turned on WWE Wrestling full blast. We politely ask if they can turn it down or change or off. Response was the owner began yelling at the waiter who requested it and it sounded like a scuffle happened in the kitchen. The owner refused to have the channel changed and was actually angry that we requested the change, but that was just the beginning...
Pay for the meal which was 32$, 7$ a total roughly $39.00 for a dinner special for two. On the way out we notice the owner watching us as we leave. He literally runs out side to see what kind of car we get in and what we are doing, I found it odd but didn't think anything of it.

A few days later I am going over my expenses and checking account - I notice one oddity... A charge for $1400.00 from The Maharaja Palace!!!
They charged me $1400.00 for the meal!
Not even remotely close to the amount I paid on any way or shape, I figure if it was a mistake, it would be off one or two numbers but no, it was a few hundred/thousand more!
I call and the number transfers to a cellphone voicemail. I go to the resturant, closed (this is during working hours) and I work down at a firm down the street.
I call and finally someone picks up. They inform me they will look into it and call me back. No one calls me back. I call back, they claim it is "human error". They inform me thier credit card company/bank does not allow them to reverse charges for transactions, I ask what if overcharge a customer for example of two sodas instead of one? You refund it! Same with a consumer who purchases and item at a store... They say they can't do it with thier "BANK". Please keep in mind they accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX and they claimed to me they can't reverse charges. I call back they say they need to write a letter to the bank to get my money back?!
Fraud and lies
Finally I call back 3 days later and the owner informs me that he spoke with his bank and they will refund my money in 24-48 hours. That was nearly a week ago. No refund, no reversal of charges. I've been back to establishment and they are closed and haven't been opened since that day!
I've contacted the FBI, Better Business Bureau and the City Police. I plan to visit them until I get paid and if needed will SUE for time spent and lawyers/court fees.
THIS PLACE PRACTICES FRAUD and they did not think that I would notice (I'm thinking that's why the owner went to see what kind of car I drive). They most likely have done this in the past and got away with it, they have chosen the wrong man to mess with as I do have connections within the state/federal agencies AND will go to whatever extent possible including involving the health agencies (upon research I've found that they have had several health violations for cockroach infestation and were forced to shut down).
