My loan recently got transferred from CashCall to Homeward Residential. The mortgage coupon that was sent is a penny higher than the loan docs that I signed. When I called, Billie commented that it was only a penny. I would have expected them to be anxious to make sure the amount is correct. Millions of dollars have been stolen one penny at a time. The laxsidacicle attitude about the mistake makes me feel that this is common practice. I have never had a mortgage transfer ever not be able to get the monthly mortgage amount correct. Based on some of the recommendations, I will be following up with a registered letter to Homeward, Cash Call and all other agencies that should know.
