AT&T is in cohorts with collection agencies (Palisades Collection) where they sell customer names as "accounts receivable" to collection agencies for debt accounts that do not exist. Over the past 7 1/2 years, AT&T has on three occasions sold my name to different collection agencies for a debt which they (AT&T) acknowledge does not exist.
Each time this happens I contact them (AT&T) and all they're willing to do is send me a letter indicating I owe then no monies. I then have to go through of hassle of contacting the collection companies with this letter from AT&T and contact all the Credit Reporting agencies just to try and clear my name. This is a fraudulent business practice and I will get the proper authorities involved.
