It is amazing to read all about the problems of Ocwen. My loan was bought out by Ocwen last year, and I have had nothing but problems with them.
We refinanced in and can only pray that they do not buy my loan back. Early last year they increased our mortgage payment by almost 100.00 per month, stating that they required a "cushion" for our escrow account. I called Ocwen on several occasions, and every time got someone who did not speak very well english. We reluctently paid the higher amount, knowing we would refinance and the remaining amount of escrow would be reimbursed to us.
When I called to find out the amount in escrow, they told me it was only $1,200.00. That is very interesting, since I have been placing $580.00 a month in escrow all the way into August. What happend to my money? Still calling about this.
They also increased my payoff amount to my new mortgage company, and charged $1,700.00 for one month of interest. That was more than my whole note. I feel for all those who have lost their homes, and others ripped off. I have been dealing with many who have had a hand in my bank account since I purchased my home. It seems anyone who had part in the financing of our home has ripped us off as well. This is going back to my original broker.
I am going down the list of people, and will be getting to Ocwen shortly. I have a court date with my original broker on Nov 1st. After two years of fighting to get them in court. I am sooo glad you are not letting this go.
If there is anything I can do to help, if not for more than another name to a list of people ripped off, I will be happy to help. If you pound on a thousand doors, you are bound to get someone who will answer. I plan on dealing with Ocwen very soon, and I like yourself, do not give up easily.
For any Ocwen employees who may be reading this, my suggestion to you would be to find another job. Three words... GUILT BY ASSOCIATION! You are at fault not matter what your position in the company may be. I myself would never work for a company that goes against my beliefs, but then again I have morales. I can only assume that those who continue to work for this unethical company, are unethical themselves. Think about all the people who are are forced to pay excessive fees in hopes that they can hold onto their homes. Think about all the homes that have been wrongfully taken away by your company. Just a little something to reflect upon as you head home from your job at Ocwen. Just be thankful you have a home, something many who have dealt with your company no longer have.
Still convinced about your innocence? Then let me ask you this... Where do you suppose the money comes from when you receive a paycheck? Another thing to think about when you run to the bank to cash your check. Whose home did you cash in on? Whose hard earned money did you take this week? Ocwen... You are on borrowed time. It is just a matter of time before someone puts a stop to your fraudulent business practice.in the mean time... The list of people you owe a settlement to... Continues to grow. Ocwen, you will be hearing from me and many others in the near future.
