First I get a call oct 7th @ 8:15. A person by the name "Diane Jordon" and soon after "Debbra". Tell me im approved for a 7500$ platinum shopping card.
Ok sounds good, I give the info they ask for ie. Checking account #, social #. After ten or so minutes they tell me their will be a one time fee of 79$-start up fee.
Like the sucker I realize I am, I OK this amount. BIG MISTAKE, how ever I get a # 1800-594-3993, opoen mon-thur, 9am-9pm, fri 9am-5pm, sat 10am-2pm.
How I realized it was a SCAM you ask. At 8:30 decided to check out the web site, to find out it DOES NOT WORK. So I call their "Cust Service"- which I had just spoken to seconds earlier... The message said that it was after hours... WHAT???
Right away I start looking for some answer on the internet. Coming across a web page entitled usa platinum shopping card scam... WHAT? Entered web site and read repot after report about this scam and what the people did not do right away and how to stop it. First I went to my bank, they were closed of course. So I withdrew-to the reluctance of the ATM all my money from the bank. Called and left a message with my personal finacial addvisor explaining the problem and the urge for a morning appointment. Bringing me here to make this report and share the info I wrote down.
