OUTRAGEOUS RIPOFF Rude unbusiness like Company Rep uses high pressured sales techniques and is not truthful or honest with customers Work from Home Scams

On the evening of September 30, I received a phone call from this company about an online business opportunity. The salesperson spoke to me for over 30 minutes, telling me about the company and all of the benefits and income I would get if I signed on. It all sounded really good!!! He then put me on the phone with a Mr. Jim Cochran.

Mr. Cochran began telling me about how much income I could make and asked me if I had a credit card? He said he would need to charge my card for $3,000.00 and for $2,500.00. Although I was beginning to feel very uneasy at this point, I gave him my credit card information. During our conversation, I told him point blank that I was having second thoughts, and that I needed more time to think it over before making a commitment to spending that much money. He began the pressure sales again telling me that he had already charged my credit card, and that my indecision was probably why I had never taken a chance to make more of an income. He kept telling me to keep an open mind and that I had already committed myself to him.

After speaking for a very long time, we finally hung up. Once I thought about it a few more minutes, I decided to call the customer service number back and cancel my order. The lady immediately put me "back" on the line with Cochran who once again began telling me what a mistake it would be for me to back out and that he had invested an hour of his time to "help me" make money. When I told him that I wanted a refund, he said that he had already charged my card, but he would give me a discount for the program and charge me only $2700.00. I felt that it was better than the $5500.00 he was going to charge me earlier, and helplessly committed to a deal that I really did not want.

Later after speaking to my bank, and to a legal advisor, I found out that this sort of tactic happens all the time on the internet. I was told that I had a time line in which I could cancel my order, whether the company liked it or not. I called the customer service number and "once again" was switched directly to Cochran.

This time, our conversation took on a completely different tone than the night before. When I told Cochran I wanted a full refund, he went into a long-winded tantrum, hardly allowing me to get a word in edgewise. He ranted on and on about how I had wasted his "precious" time the evening before, and that the reason that I was in need of better income was due to the reason that I would not take a chance and commit to this deal.

At this point he became completely rude, unprofessional, and began to belittle me over the phone. At one point he even referred to me as "you poor little Whaa, Whaa", and said that I was throwing up smoke screens because I couldn't make a decision, when the truth is I had made a decision; "NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY". When I asked once again, if he was going to refund my money, I never received a direct answer from him. Finally, when he stopped talking long enough to take a breath, I told him that I was in the middle of writing an article for the BBB consumer complaints, and that I would be delighted at the chance to pass along the content of our conversation to others who may be contemplating becoming involved with this company. I certainly hope that this "rude and obnoxious idiot" is not a prime example of this company or it's other employees.
