This guy advertises on Craigslist as a 'cheap, 1/2 price mechanic'. This guy ripped me for over $1200 on an engine rebuild on my vw. He does sloppy-a$, shoddy work, puts in old, used parts and can't seem to put them in/on right. I paid for KYB shocks at $40/ea. X 4 and got used stock shocks instead. I saw a warning on CL but Chuck told me it was from an ex-employee that had a gripe. Turned out that was one of his many lies. My bug had an oil leak the first time I picked it up, he said he fixed it, had another oil leak. With less then 1000 mi. On the engine it blew and of course he blames the car owner. I advertised a warning on CL and had dozens of other PO'd customers of his call & email me with the same story. This guy is a liar and a thief, doesn't bother him at all to take peoples money and give them sh_t in return. Nothing he tells you is the truth! He's been turned into the BBB, the BAR and the county for running a 'shop' out of a garage in a residential neighborhood. The guy has harassed me since... The guy's an overweight 6ft hispanic but doesn't play with a full deck. You can spot his ads anywhere, can't spell to save his life. Claims to have a lien on my bug (how does that work when I have it), an attorney after me for slander (not if it's the truth), a restraining order on me (for what, I don't know but I'd sure like to see the police report for that one) and claims I owe HIM money for extra work he did... Ya mean you were going to screw up my bug even more... LOL! I had to limp my bug into a reputable garage to get it looked at and the mechanic laughed at how crappy of a job Chuck Young did. I have a full page of what that mechanic found wrong with my 'chuck rebuild' which was pretty much everything. The damn car was dangerous to drive. Hey Chuck, your a mechanic in your own mind, that's about it. He claims to be licensed (BAR has no info on him) and drops all the names of reputable VW shops he knows... Funny, nobody has ever heard of him. Well, here ya go Chuck, FREE ADVERTISING... I'll send you my bill in the mail! A-hole!
