Being a former employee of GCU, I've seen some very unprofessional business practices. I wasn't allowed to say anything until I no longer worked there and it happened to me.
What they're doing as they consider themselves a Christian based campus, is very hypocritical. They award students financial aid and then they turn around telling a student that they don't qualify for the amounts after they've been awarded.
Once students have been sent the checks and used the funds, they automatically send the funds back making a balance due to the school. After seeing this happen to in so many cases, I never thought it would happen to me.
Come to find out, they took my last paycheck to pay toward a balance because I owed through them sending my financial aid back.
This school is ripping people off and getting away with it left and right. It's a shame they cover it up by stating they're a Christian University. They're headed by money making mongrels just like any other business out there trying to be as profitable as they can be.
People of a religious background going to this school need to wake up and realize who they're really conducting business with.
