Countrywide Home Loans-close to losing home-again

Countrywide bought my contract 3 months after I purchased my home. I set up arrangements to have the mortgage payment be automatically taken out of my checking account through E-Bills.in July of Countrywide sent me a foreclosure letter stating that they had not received a payment since April.

I called them immediately and said there must be a mistake because payments were automatic. They said they were sent back because they weren't enough to cover all of the attorney fees and penalty fees and God knows what else fees...

Being a 1st time homeowner, I was scared of losing my house so I did what the Work-out department told me to do. I Western Unioned over $3000.00 to stay out of foreclosure. Regina in the Work-out department told me that I couldn't get into the repayment program unless I was caught up on my mortgage payments. When they received the money, they applied monies for my April and May payments and then put the remainder in a "misc" posting which does not show up on your statements.

18 months later, I find out through a credit report that they have tapped me for 18 late payments in a row because they never applied the misc. Monies towards my June mortgage payment. Additionally, I find out that because of 18 late fees deducted out of this account, there is only $400.00 left in that account. The representative from the President's office told me that she would have the money transferred towards my September payment since there was nothing she could do to fix my credit or give me my money back because it was incorrectly applied. She said it was their right to do anything that they wanted to with the money.

3 months after that I get a notice that I am in foreclosure again because I was 90 days late. They conveniently held my checks and sent them back to me in December. Again, conveniently, they said they only received the checks the day after it went into foreclosure.

I again went to the President's office who refused to return my calls or take my money until the end of January, again with 120 days worth of attorneys fees, late fees, appraisal fees, etc. For over 45 days, they stretched out the process until my house was listed as being auctioned off. I finally got them to take my money the month before it was to be forclosed on.

This has been a constant source of craziness that seems unbelievable because it was all unneccesary and could have been handled in a few days. My credit is totally ruined so I can't refinance yet and I'm scared to death that something will happen again before I can refinance.

This ordeal has cost me an additional $7500.00 in fees over the past 2 years.

Any class action suit that started up... I want in.
