In the last 15 years Gregory Cowley/Perry has taken over $2 millions —between $5,000-$100,000 each — from mostly senior citizens from California to New York for "limited partnerships" in the Brooksmith partnerships. He is the general manager of the partnerships which he alleges are "Caifornia Ltd. Partnerships" but has not registered them with the Department of Corporations.
His "Ponzi" schemes: he pays a high return for a few months, then stops and tells his frantic "investors" that "business is bad" while has taken their money to buy cocaine, crack and alcohol. He paid himself 36,000 each year in "management fees" and never paid any investor back. His oil and gas operations never produced the money he told investors they would=Fraud.
In 1999 he bilked about $1,000, 000 from invesors. Among then: $100,000 from one retired California couple through a broker named Robyn Powell. They are frantically calling him. He disconnected his phone and his home is in foreclosure. But he has assets in Brooksmith Partners. Ltd.
If anyone knows of his victims, please post here and write the California Department of Corporations in Los Angeles, CA. This is urgent: once this man is foreclosed on, he will disappear. He has assets in Brooksmith which some investors may recover.
