On the homepage of my credit card bank was a button advertising a FREE credit report. I pressed the button, entered my info and they asked for my credit card # for a $1.00 "processing fee". I knew better than give them my CC info but again I no reason to expect a scam, it was on my bank's homepage.
I received my FREE credit score and a month later my card was charged $29.95 for my "next months service". What service, I didn't order any service but they got my money with the usual Internet trick. Do not, I repeat, do not ever expect a FREE credit score from anyone other than the reporting agencies.
