CIT Lease Financial and I parted unhappy ways in 2004. Last year I received a letter from PUSHPIN stating that they were collectors for CIT Lease and were collecting this debt. I was never informed of such from from an old debt (never told me name of company until 3 or 4 months ago) and do not owe anything to anyone, let alone over $5,000. I demanded proof of such collection, told them that I do not owe anyone any such money. Filed a complaint with BBB and they did not answer even to BBB until about 4 to 6 months later and continued to claim that I owe them this debt. They have violated the Federal Rules and Regulations on credit collections and are threatening me with legal action. Is there anyone out there who can lend me advise. I am collecting Social Security and do not have the means to hire legal help.
