Never hire these people to "move" you. They are a scam and a rip-off. Adam Dahan is rep in San Diego, quotes low price, good deal, right? They showed up over 4 hours late, I had everything organized by room and they started moving things around so I wasn't ever able to even count the boxes for myself. Labelled everything as going to New York, ran out of tape, ran out of pads, tried to shrink wrap an antique table with three legs, legs left unexposed and broke during move.inventory not complete, left boxes on back patio that were labelled as going, did not take items they were supposed to take. Told me it was my fault for being "disorganized".
When I called, they said truck could not come back. I had to rent a trailer to move the rest of my things they left behind.
Upon delivery, driver told office he called me several times, when, in reality he only called once and when I received the message I called him right back. He yelled at me and demanded to know "why I did not answer the phone". Said he would not deliver goods unless I had the rest of payment in cash.
Came to house, stated he was not a "mover but a driver". Brought three "day workers" to unload truck and then sat in truck after taking my cash (almost $3,000) and smoked cigarettes! My son and I unloaded truck. Day workers brought stuff into house and left it there. They did not assemble furniture including bed frames and formal dining room table. Lost the hardware for same, had no tools, driver refused to enter home.
Boxes clearly labelled as "fragile" were on bottom of stack and crushed. Lamps shoved into boxes that were not sealed and then crushed so lamps were broken (all lamps broken), lamp shades crushed, every piece of wood furniture damaged by scratches, gouges, scrapes. Broke desk and table legs off antiques. Did not unwrap anything and did not take their moving pads. I now have to file a lawsuit, but, I have plenty of pictures.
Do not trust them, ever, run if they approach you and avoid them at all costs.
