First Convenience Bank Aka First National Bank
Ripoff

I have an account with First Convenience Bank aka First National Bank and I have been ripped off for over a year. I opened my account expecting my money to be protected, instead I was being ripped off by the bank. I opened a checking and savings account on the same day and requested that these two accounts link to each other incase I over draw.

I also have a direct deposit for my child support check. I did not notice the fees until my checking account was overdrawn and my savings account had a balance of 2000.00.

The bank never linked the accounts which caused my checking account to occur overdraft and nsf fees of $484.90. I contacted the Anderson location in Fort Worth where I opened my account and the Manager Evans Gichana told me that they will give me a refund of 8 overdrafts and the first refund would be $119.80 and to call him back on Tuesday. I called Evans on Wednesday and he told me that they had a meeting that Monday and they had a limit of 200.00 from the banking center.

I told him that he promised me the refunds and I expected to be refunded. Mr. Evans said he would contact his DM (District Manager) and get and okay for the remainder of the refund. I later realized that I paid that bank $484.90 and they only want to refund me 239.60. I never received a call from the DM nor Mr. Evans on the result.

Now it has been 2 months and still no call. I am extremely pissed! During this wait I have gone to two different locations to sign a form to have the accounts linked and as of today, I called and the CSR had to contact a tech, because it was not done. The tech linked the accounts as of 7/21/04.

Now, I am pissed beyond. I started researching my previous statements and noticed that the overdraft fees and nsf charges have been going on since day one. So far they have charged me over $1000.00 in fees. I am pursuing a refund from all overdraft transactions from day one and if the bank refuses I will take other measures. I will need to purchase the Do-It Yourself Guide: How to get Rip-Off Revenge book because I am not going to let them get away with this and if it has happened to you than you should take action as well.

My inside source tells me that the main location in Killeen, TX makes mistakes like this all of the time and the branches have to cover their mistakes.
