And Employees Lied about terms and conditions of cancelling their credit card

I contacted Household Bank by email asking specifically about the charges and added fees for cancelling their credit card at my request. I was told the late payment and over the limit fees would not be accessed and there would only be a service fee of 3.50.

I agreed and cancelled my card. Now there is over 180.00 in fees being accessed and they told me they never told me this, and that it was not part of their user agreement, when one of their employees told me it *was* their agreement.

Furthermore I had someone call me to make "arrangements" to have money taken from my checking account to pay 128.00 and the other fees would be waived. Promptly they added on two more 29.00 fees and a 9.95 check by phone fee. I have now put a stop payment on these check payments but will now end up getting fees and charges from Household Bank for the stop payments, I am sure.
As a consumer I am very tired of being lied to. Now my credit rating is a mess because of these idiots and they will not accept my emailed letters from their employees as proof of the statements and arrangements made and called me a liar. A company needs to stand behind what their employees are telling people.

Their company states they will help rebuild credit. Well they just ruined my credit.
