In December I attempted to get an online payday loan to help for the Christmas holiday, one company says yes we can do it for a fee of $39.00 we will get you the loan, I gave my information. Sounds good right...
Wrong!
March 12th I got a phone call from a gentlemen at around three thirty pm from a guy saying his name was Kevin Anderson from Mckenzie Law Accociates saying that he was calling to collect a debt. I tried listening to the guy, rather hard to under stand. I was informed I received a loan from a company called American Pay day in the amount of $390.00 as a pay day loan that was deposited into my bank account on Christmas day. I was given the option to settle up, yeah right I had to look into this I said. He hung up. I called him right back and started talking to him again, I asked him how he got my information and what he had, he gave me my full name, employer, social security number, bank account number, address he had it all he said he had all the paper work sent to his office from the payday company in black and white in front of him. Ok little freaky. I told the guy I would call him back in the morning I needed to figure this out because I was sure nothing went into my account but hey we all make mistakes maybe I mis-saw something on my statement or maybe the bank has it hidden some where. Kevin then told me no need to call back I would be served by shiriff in an hour, ok but I will not be there I said I'm working. He Hung up
I called my wife told her about it, and said honey there may be an officer coming to serve me.

I woke up the next morning called my bank and told them everything. They started looking into it, but found nothing. They looked in the returned deposits they looked against the account number the name of depositer, the amount. Nothing I asked about the social security being they had it, and was told no that tells them nothing the account number is what they need. Okay well they have the right account number. Still nothing. My bank told me to call them back and ask questions. Date and time submitted, how the deposit was submitted. And request the paper trail or a way to get in touch with the lender but we have nothing matching up and will prove it if they need us to send a fax or documents, I called Kevin again from Mckenzie law back...
Kevin again was helpful. Mr. Martin I have told you everything I have you will be served. Well I am mad the bank spent a half day tracking things and have made it no wheres, this company knows more about me then they should and will not provide me nothing helpful but he claims he is a lawyer. He does say the money went it by an ACH deposit. Ok we're getting some where I told him I have proof nothing was recieved, and can fax it over to his office if he can provide me a fax number or a way to send it, Nope not good enough, Kevin says again your case is being filled with the court house he had sent it already, I say Well what court house. CLICK bye again apparently he don't like questions I of course call back,
MR MARTIN, hey maybe he is mad. But I start asking again. Kevin where can I get this paper work you say you have. I would like to be served, what court can I get it from.
I'm Accused: Mr Martin there is no need for you to call here any more. You will be served the court has your stuff. Obviously you know you have the money he says or else you wouldn't be flipping and calling so much are you going to settle or go further.

I decided to waste time and go down to the court house. Guess what. Nothing. But the Judge says nope your in on a scam, CALL THE STATES ATTORNEYS OFFICE. Don't settle. Get them to send you something, but atleast get a report in.
I went home feeling better but still wanted to find out more Kevin was just not helpful. I got online and started looking every McKenzie Law office listed and there is a few but none have any form of 800 number but the one calling me does. Ok weird, GOOGLE is great, Reverse phone number look up. I find out the number is owned in Erie PA, no details. After more google I look up the firm again but seach in Erie PA, The site I find says a lot, I get a rip of report two reports against them, Collection company.
I called the so called "Mckenzie law firm" but I have black and white in front of me. I got a guy named Edward, and I just basiclly said the basics of my case, he knew my name with out me giving it, they had that even prior to me ever calling them or giving it to them. I said to him Edward I am looking at a site on line right now in black and white like Mr. Kevin Anderson from your so called firm tells me he has against me that there are reports against your office that your not a company that has ladgit debts.
Mr. Martin: things in black and white are not always correct are you going to settle or not.
