Failed to process a payment I was making over the telephone

It's good to see I'm not the only person having problems with the nasty people in this company. They've serviced my loan for six months and have already pissed me off more than once. For my other house, which I had for 7 years, I NEVER had a complaint with my loan servicer.

The worst thing these jerks have done is deliberatively failing to apply a payment I was making over the telephone.in June I made two payments, one of which was a past-due from the month before. I made these two payments on two different days due to my cash flow problem — having to wait to receive a check in order to made the later payment. I made the first payment, and then the second payment over the phone, and was talking to someone I think in the collections department, and the guy I was talking to was a real prize. Condescending, arrogant, smart-assed, and other negative traits that I cannot list here for fear of offending someone.

The whole telephone call was unpleasant, but I gave him all the information that he needed, and believed he was ready to process my payment. At the end of our conversation I said to him "I can't wait to refinance my loan" and then I hung up.

A few days ago, I was looking at my current paper copy statement, and I saw that they had only processed one of the two payments I had made in June. I called and told them they had failed to give me credit for that second payment. After quite a bit of stonewalling (contending that NOTHING had been received from me except the first payment) they finally admitted well, yes, our files indicate that the second payment had not been credited to my account because "caller hung up and I didn't know whether she wanted me to put this payment through." First, I KNOW that I gave him everything he needed, with the full expectation that he would process the payment. Second, even if he honestly and reasonably believed that he didn't have all the information, he could have PICKED UP THE PHONE! Or sent me a message over the web. Etc, etc, etc.

These people are rude and consdescending in every contact I have with them. They are arrogant, insulting, snot-nosed, patronizing, insolent, and smug little bastards.

That was very cathartic.

I can't wait to refinance my loan.
