I was called in May about receiving a credit card in the amount of $2000. Because I have less than desirable credit, I was told they would need a deposit of $249. This money was taken from my checking account and I was told I would receive my Visa card in 6-8 weeks.
After 8 weeks and no sign of my card I called these people and kept getting the run-around. I was calling a minimum of 2 times a week for 2 months straight. I got hung up on multiple times, got talked to really rude, put on hold for over 1/2 hour and whenever I asked to speak to management I was told they were gone for the day or I was hung up on.
In October I sent the company a certified/return receipt letter stating I would like my card or my money back, or I would pursue this matter further. Credit Helper never even bothered to contact me.
I have contacted the Attorney General of New Jersey and The Better Business Bureau. Both of them said they could not help me with this matter. I am frustrated beyond words and would like to just get my money back from this company and consider this a hard lesson learned.
