A friend had referred this company to me as I am on unemployment and needed assistance in paying money towards my taxes for my house. I called the company on 12/21 and spoke to a Jack Bennett who then said that I needed to give personal information for verification and initial application process to see if I was eligible for assistance from their services... After I had given my e-mail/address/checking account#, and social #, he put me on hold then returned to say that they could help me if i would give $500 a month for six months to be withdrawaled between the 1st and 5th date of the month - I said no wait there is no way I could do that as I'm on unemployment receiving only $447 every 2 weeks and that and that I didnt even know about this company and its services. He gave me a web sight www.NewLifeConsultants to take a look at as well as a verisign in my e-mail. I told him I was not interested in the services. And he stated ok then if you change you mind hit review on the verisign e-mail and type in my name.
The call ended and I called my credit union about this company and its services they told me to call New life back and tell them to destroy my information and state again that I did not want their services. I did just that and spoke to Jack Bennett personally and he reassured me that he would destroy my information and that they would not withdrawal out of my account. I continued to receive verisigns in my e-mail.
On 1/9 New Life withdrawaled $500 out of my checking account and I received a insufficient funds statement in the mail from my credit union on the 14th which was a Saturday I had to wait til the 17th after the holiday to deal with this situation. I contacted this ACH company (noteworld... Also a debt consolidation company) while at the credit union to report that It was an unauthorized tranaction and they gave me a separate # for New Life (1-888-362-7077).
I then went home to contact New life 1st by the 1-855-756-2444 in which i got automated response and second the 1-888-362-7077 in which ispoke to a person who connected me to Jack Bennetts voicemail-I hung up and called back and a and a man answered so Betty you want to talk to Jack?! Yes for those of you who can't get through to them they have caller ID! I told this person that their was a unauthorized withdrawal and that I formally request that it be put in writing that that there is know services by his company in regards to myself... He said that he would have to have someone else call me back... About a half hour later another person called and said that it would have to go to technical investigation to see if I signed the e-mail. I did NOt sign anything. And im still getting verisign-s in my e-mail from this Jack Bennett. Needless to say police report filed/credit bureaus fraud alerted/federal trade commision filed/BBB filed/!!! This company is a scam!
