Wife and I were given one of these cards as a wedding gift — and everytime we tried to use it, it was declined. It turns out that resturants "over commit" the charge by 15% (for possible tip) by default which the servers can't control, so if you want to use the full value of the card, it's nearly impossible (a mathmatical workout). The card locks out when a single such attempt is made and we had to wait for 24hours and call them to try to figure it out — thus we got the story about the 15% buffer. So, we then tried it with gasoline, and again it was declined (for similar reasons the pay at the pump actually tries to reserve $100 or something and since the card was only worth $50 it failed)... So we waited and tried again recently, and found that they had been consuming the value of the card with their $2.50/mo fee. Needless to say, I called them, got a run around and no where — bottom line, we never got any of the $50 that was a "gift" to us. I am sure the person that gave it didn't intend this — way too much work for nothing!
